BOYS COUNSELLING SESSION

ounselling Session for boys on Adolescent Challenges and Addictions (29 May,2026)
A counselling session for the boys of grades 6-8 , was conducted by psychiatrist Dr. Chanpreet Singh and medical team from the Sub Divisional Hospital, Khadur Sahib on the important topics of adolescence issues, drug addiction and mobile addiction. The session aimed to create awareness among students about the physical, emotional, and psychological changes that occur during adolescence and to guide them towards healthy lifestyle choices.
During the interactive session, the resource person discussed common challenges faced by adolescents, including peer pressure, stress, emotional changes, and behavioural issues. Special emphasis was laid on the harmful effects of drug abuse and excessive mobile phone usage on health, studies, relationships, and overall personality development.
The psychiatrist encouraged students to adopt positive habits, maintain self-discipline, communicate openly with parents and teachers, and seek guidance whenever needed. Students actively participated in the discussion.
The session proved to be highly informative and beneficial, helping students understand the importance of mental well-being, responsible behaviour, and making wise decisions during adolescence.
