Under the patronage of Baba Seva Singh Ji, head of the Kar Seva Khadur Sahib, Nishan-E-Sikhi International School, organized a one-day capacity building program on the topic National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023 for the teachers as per CBSE guidelines. The program was held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 9 AM to 5:30 PM. A total of 60 teachers enthusiastically participated in this program.
As per the norms of the school, the event commenced with gurbani recitation by the students. The principal Amarjit Singh welcomed the resource persons, Ms.Harmeet Kaur Principal of Nankana Sahib Public School, Ludhiana and Mr. Ajendra Tiwari, Principal of Baba Ishar Singh Public School, Amritsar and all the participants. He stated that capacity building programmes are required for the teachers to equip themselves with updated policies and teaching learning strategies for the holistic development of the students as per the vision of an New Education Policy 2020.
The program was organised in two fruitful sessions conducted by Ms. Harmeet Kaur and Mr Ajendra Tiwari respectively, who shared their deep insights on the topic.
Ms. Harmeet Kaur focused on the interdisciplinary approach in education and ethical values to make the students responsible citizens of the country. In the second session, Principal Ajendra Tiwari familiarised the teachers with the prospects of ICT in education. He also explained the ways for teachers to build stronger relationships with the students.
The resource persons were honoured by Baba Baldev Singh Ji and S.Jaswinder Singh Ji secretary of Nishan Sikhi Charitable Trust Khadur Sahib. The program was concluded successfully with the discussion session followed by a vote of thanks by Ms. Simarjeet Kaur, PGT mathematics.
