Nishan-E-Sikhi Khadur Sahib Organizes Capacity Building Program for Teachers

A three- day Capacity Building Program was organized Under the patronage of Baba Sewa Singh Ji, head of Kar Sewa Khadur Sahib, from July 1 to July 3, 2025, for the teachers of Nishan-E-Sikhi International School Khadur Sahib and Baba Gurmukh Singh Baba Uttam Singh Senior Secondary School Khadur Sahib under the aegis of Nishan-E-Sikhi Charitable Trust.

The session was graced by the chief guest Dr. Kamaljit Singh, former Professor of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. S. Amarjit Singh, Principal of Nishan-e-Sikhi International School, Khadur Sahib, conducted the stage proceedings and extended a warm welcome to the chief guest, subject experts, and teachers for their presence at the Capacity Building Program. He also provided a detailed overview of the objectives and significance of the program.

Addressing the teachers, chief guest Dr. Kamaljit Singh emphasised the importance of planning before delivering any lesson and discouraged the excessive use of non-authentic sources such as unverified websites and social media platforms. He also elaborated on the significance of effective lesson planning and continuous professional growth for educators.

During the workshop, expert resource persons in subjects including Punjabi, Hindi, English, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) conducted insightful sessions. Punjabi was led by Madam Gagandeep Kaur; Hindi by Dr. Jyoti Verma, Mr. Ajit Singh, and Dr. Kavita Kapoor; English by Ms. Shweta Sharma and Ms. Kulwinder Kaur; Science by Mr. Sanjay Kumar and S.Amarjit Singh; Mathematics by Mr. Rajeev Budhiraja; Social Studies by Madam Ninderpreet Kaur, Mr. Prince Sharma, and Mr. Balraj Singh Bath; and NTT by Madam Bhavdeep Kaur Kohli, Headmistress Madam Navpreet Kaur, and Coordinator Madam Charanjit Kaur. These experts shared innovative teaching strategies, real classroom experiences, and activity-based learning techniques to foster holistic development in students.

Bhai Warayam Singh, Secretary of Baba Gurmukh Singh Baba Uttam Singh Senior Secondary School, encouraged teachers to implement the knowledge gained for the all-round growth of their students. Special appreciation and honors were presented to the chief guest Dr. Kamaljit Singh and all the subject experts by Baba Gurpreet Singh, Baba Baldev Singh, and Secretary Jaswinderpal Singh. The workshop also witnessed the active participation of Principal Mr. Satpal Singh and Headmistress Madam Paraminder Kaur, along with all the staff members.
